Kymberli Frueh is at the helm of all programming acquisition in the alternative content space for Fathom Events, from series initiatives, to perennials to unique one-time-only events.
Frueh is responsible for leading the entire programming team in focusing on key verticals and opportunities that optimize success for Fathom’s founding members and its Affiliates. She also handles international content partner relationships and key recurring accounts for the company. She is responsible for driving multi-million dollar revenue goals year after year.
Frueh was elevated to this position in October 2014 after spending seven years as senior director on the Fathom programming team and has over 20 years of successful experience working in entertainment. During her tenure with Fathom she has negotiated some of our largest high-profile events including all Floyd Mayweather title fights, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Macintosh Broadway Anniversary initiatives, The Annual Grateful Dead Meet Up and the company’s most-attended events of 2014 — One Direction, Monty Python Live and BBC’s Doctor Who.
Prior to joining Fathom Events she was on the private event side of National Cinemedia and spent over 10 years holding various positions at Viacom within the Showtime Networks and MTV Divisions. She was also on the original launch team of the Sundance Channel. Frueh-Owens began her career as a television news anchor and reporter at various local affiliates in the Midwest and holds a dual degree in journalism and radio, television and film from Bowling Green State University. She currently resides in Denver, is a proud member of The Broadway League and is extremely passionate about live theatre, concerts and events.
